THE CIVIL WAR LIMBER CHEST AND ANTIQUES
RELICS
ALL DUG BATTLEFIELD RELICS HAVE BEEN RECOVERED FROM PRIVATE
PROPERTY WITH OWNERS PERMISSION

The items displayed here were dug by me on Sunday May 16th, 1993 at the Battle of the Wilderness. The radiograph in the lower right corner shows that the Enfield was loaded with two loads, one a Minnie and one a Williams Cleaner 3. Each grouping was found exactly as they appear and were all found in a 20 X 20 area. Note the number 84 that appeared on his hat is an officers number and not an enlistedman’s which goes to show you wore what they wanted or had at the time. Although I have dug many items through the years, this find has a special place in my heart and is not for sale.
