Artillery Vent Pick Priming Wire  for cannon – Used to puncture the powder bags through the vent at the rear of the tube so that when the fuse primer ignited, the canon would fire – 20.5” in length – Marked Watervliet U.S. 8 – This was also used to extract fuse primers, not all are made this way – Excellent cond’t – See page 294 “Echoes of Glory: Arms and Equipment of the Union”

Rammer (Wood) – I was told that this was for a 32 lb. Naval gun – Being not knowledgeable on Naval Rammers, I am not exactly sure what bore size this would be used for – Most of the rammers I have seen are much smaller than the actual bore size – The diameter is 6” and the length of the front section is 4 ½” – The diameter of the handle is 1 7/8” X 76 ½” – Some original red paint appears on the handle – See photo showing rammer on board a Naval Ship – This item requires special handling and shipping or other arrangements made with the purchaser
